New Members

If there are any Glenavon supporters out there not already affiliated to an official Supporters Club, why not consider “The Triangle”.

We are the oldest and largest of the existing clubs, formed in 1949 with 130 current members.

We run a luxury coach to all Glenavon away games at a subsidised rate for members.  We also run various social events throughout the year as we feel this side of the club activities is very important.  We have weekly club meetings every Friday night throughout the season, held in the clubrooms under the Geddis stand, which is also open to members on all home match days.

New members are normally proposed and seconded by existing club members.  However, if you do not know any members call 07709 303213 for further details, or leave a comment using the link at the bottom of this post.

Membership Records

We are well on our way to completing the computerization of the club membership records.  Of the 130 forms sent out to members 79 people have responded (61%).  Incidently, of these 79 responses, 23 have e mail addresses (29%) and 46 have mobile phones (58%).  Please get any outstanding forms in.

First Meeting

The first meeting of the new season takes place in the clubroom on Friday night 1st August at 8pm (new chairman says sharp).  There will quite a few important thing to discuss, including the redecoration/renovation of the clubroom, so a big turn out is requested.

Club Leisurewear

There are still some club polo shirts (royal blue) available from the club room price £15.  We will be submitting a new order to the suppliers after the Institute game so if you want a coat, white polo shirt, fleece, etc all with the club logo on see Ralph.  All orders must be pre paid.

New season

Glenavon’s season officially starts on Saturday 9th August with a home game against Institute, k.o. 3.00pm.  Remaining fixtures for August are as follows:- Sat. 16th Glentoran (A) Sat. 23rd Crusaders(A) Tues. 26th Bangor(H) & Sat. 30th Coleraine (A).

Portadown Friendly

Glenavon’s pre-season friendly against neighbours Portadown has been brought forward from Thursday 31st July to Tuesday 29th July.  This is due to Portadown kicking off their new season in the IFA Championship on August 2nd.

Rangers Friendly

The club room will be open for the visit of Rangers on Saturday 19th July 2008, kick off 3pm.  Incidentally, we will not be open for the forthcoming UEFA Cup game Cliftonville and FC Copenhagan.

Club Meetings

The Triangle Supporters’ Club will hold it’s first meeting of the new season (2008/09) on Friday 1st August 2008 in the Clubrooms, Mourneview Park, Lurgan.  All members are invited to attend, meeting will commence at 8.00pm.

My first post

Welcome to Glenavon Triangle Supporters Club site. We are a supporters’ club formed in October 1949 in Lurgan, Northern Ireland to follow our local team Glenavon Football Club. The name ‘Triangle’ was choosen to protray three distinctive features, win, lose or draw.  This site will regularly be updated to provide information to members and friends of the Triangle Supporters Club.
