Triangle on Facebook

February 7, 2010
A Facebook page for the Glenavon Triangle Supporters Club has now been set up
Search for Glenavon Triangle (said the full name was too long) for those who are on the site.
The idea was pitched to aid a club recruitment drive and to help in keeping those with an interest in Glenavon or Triangle members in being kept up to date with club happenings.
Club member Andrew Sinnamon has to be thanked for his efforts setting up the page, and he will also be regularly updating information, upcoming events, etc.

The late Joe Dowds

February 6, 2010

It was with deep regret that we learned of the passing of club stalwart Joe Dowds.  Joe was a member of the Triangle since 1994 and enjoyed watching his beloved Glenavon until ill health prevented him from doing so.  He was also a great Liverpool fan, as is his son Martin who is also a member of the club.  The Dowds family have a big connection to the Triangle as Joe’s brothers Leslie and Sammy are also long standing members.  Joe was buried yesterday in Seapatrick, a large turnout was testimony to the regard Joe and his family were held in, and the Triangle was well represented.
