Rangers Weekend

The club will run its annual trip to Scotland from Friday 20th March 2009 to Sunday 22nd March 2009.  We will be staying in the Ramada Hotel, Ayr (formerly the Caledonian) and take in the Rangers V Hearts game at Ibrox on the Saturday.  Cost of the trip will be £150 to include 2 nights bed and breakfast, and all other transfers (match ticket extra).  We require £100 be paid before 13th December, this can be paid in stages to Eric Taylor or Ralph.  The list is up in the clubroom so get your name down!

It’s Rovers Instead

Glenavon will play Shamrock Rovers in a friendly at Mourneview Park in lieu of the Linfield game on 6th September, kick off 2.30pm.  We would hope to have our new plasma’s up and running and be able to show the Northern Ireland V Slovakia game at 4.30pm.

Linfield Game Postponed

The Linfield game has now apparently been postponed due the Linfield keeper being called up to the N.I. squad.  We may try to organise something else for the clubroom that day so watch this space!

Linfield Game

At this stage the Linfield game on Saturday 6th September will kick off at 2pm.  We would hope to entertain members of the Roden Street Linfield SC in the clubroom before the game, and afterwards we will be showing the Northern Ireland World Cup qualifying game against Slovakia at 4.30pm.  Refreshments will be served!!

Coleraine Bus Time

The Triangle bus will be leaving Mourneview Park this Saturday at 12.45pm and Moira at 1pm.  We will be returning home straight after the match.

Plasma TVs

We hope to have our 3 new plasma TVs up and running for the Linfield game on 6th September.  Two of our members (Clifford Kidd and Gordy Watson) have kindly donated towards this and this is much appreciated by all the members.  If you know of any other member wishing to make a donation please contact clubroom.

Bus Times

Glenavon travel to Crusaders on Saturday for the much delayed start to the new season.  Triangle bus leaves Mourneview Park at 1.30pm and Moira at 1.45pm.

Amalgamated Supporters Meeting

The inaugural meeting of those supporters club who have clubrooms at Mourneview Park was held on Friday night past.  Areas for discussion were the upkeep of the communal areas of the clubroom section, joint functions/fundraising ventures, and other items of mutual importance.  The minutes will be read out at our next weekly meeting, or those members who have supplied the club with e mail addresses will receive a copy tomorrow (Sunday).

Shirt Sponsorship

The meeting agreed last night to support the Fundraising Committee’s Sponsor a Shirt scheme.  We will be sponsoring Robert Robinson and Gary Liggett’s away shirts at a cost of £200.
