The late Jim Duke

February 22, 2010

It is with regret that we pass on the sad news of the passing of a former chairman of the club, Jim Duke.  Jim died last Thursday night after a lengthy battle with illness, but his death still caused considerable shock.  Jim chaired the club from 1996-1998, and rarely missed a Friday night meeting if his health allowed.  His funeral service was in Shankill Parish Church on Sunday at 2pm, and a large number of Triangle members were there to show their respects to wife Liz, son Nigel (also a club member) and the rest of the family circle.

Triangle on Facebook

February 7, 2010
A Facebook page for the Glenavon Triangle Supporters Club has now been set up
Search for Glenavon Triangle (said the full name was too long) for those who are on the site.
The idea was pitched to aid a club recruitment drive and to help in keeping those with an interest in Glenavon or Triangle members in being kept up to date with club happenings.
Club member Andrew Sinnamon has to be thanked for his efforts setting up the page, and he will also be regularly updating information, upcoming events, etc.
